SPOILER: Finn’s Wardrobe in Episode VIII

Another small gem from Jacen’s cousin via Reddit. Read on for some details on Finn’s appearance in Episode VIII and a small tidbit on Stormtrooper weapons. Spoilers ahead!

For Episode VIII we all know that Finn still wears a jacket similar to Poe’s jacket which he wore in TFA, thanks to the set photos from earlier this month [Below]. What you may not know is that it is actually the same jacket. Areas damaged during his duel with Kylo have been stapled back together (the red patch on his right shoulder and the slash across his back). The staples are weirdly-shaped, they’re not like traditional real-world/fabric or office staples. They are uniquely “Star Wars“, sort of polyhedron/diamond-shaped. Why he doesn’t wear a new jacket in the next film is beyond me but hey whatever.

Also, stormtroopers will also have a new type of gun that “stuns” it’s targets instead of injuring/killing them. Not like the one that the stormtroopers used on Princess Leia in A New Hope, think of a freeze ray where the target is stuck in place.

(Insert bad Mr. Freeze “ice” pun here.)

We here at FakingStarWars had the leaked set image deeply analyzed by one of Jacen’s cousins who MacGuyver’ed a microscope out of a magnifying glass, a rubber band, a paper clip, and a kaleidoscope. We were able to determine that within the image above featuring Finn on the space horse, he is wearing a brand new jacket, not the same one he wore in TFA. That may debunk this leak, but we were all high on Jedi Gels when we were looking at the image and the microscope has since been smashed by a POG slammer.

But we did receive this render of Finn last night. We are checking for authenticity to know if it is legit or not and will get back to you on the matter as soon as Jacen’s MacGuyver cousin wakes up from his drunken stupor.
