Ghostbusters Reboot Tracking Less Hate Than the Phantom Menace
HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA — Good news, Ghostbusters — you’re not the most hated film in Hollywood. That honor still belongs to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Despite having the most disliked movie trailer of all time on YouTube, the Ghostbusters HQ (Hate Quotient as defined by the Angry Nerd Council) remains at a solid 85%. Meanwhile, when adjusted for inflation and depression, Episode I boasts a definitive 99% HQ. You go, Jar Jar Binks!
It remains to be seen whether this new finding will help elevate Ghostbusters above the $40 – $50 million opening weekend it’s currently tracking towards. One thing’s for certain though: it’s time to watch Red Letter Media’s Prequel Reviews again for the 12th time today, and let the hate flow freely.
