The Last Jedi to Feature the First Female Super Star Destroyer
Kathleen Kennedy strikes again! The President of Lucasfilm has already made great strides towards adding diversity and gender representation to the new Disney-era Star Wars films, but this latest move may be her boldest yet. FSW spies are hearing that The Last Jedi will feature the first fully-female Star Destroyer. Codenamed The Menstruator the blood red Super Star Destroyer is said to be “the Mother of all Star Destroyers.”

The Menstruator is Supreme Leader Snoke’s personal ship, and the super sized vessel will feature prominently in a large space battle towards the climax of Episode VIII. According to our reports, after throwing everything at her with little to no effect, Resistance military strategist Admiral Ackbar devises an ingenious plan involving a crew-less Hammerhead corvette.
Rather than attack The Menstruator, the corvette manages to absorb the Super Star Destroyer’s rage head-on… leaving her docile and similar in color to Snoke. Rumor has it the Supreme Leader also changes color throughout the film. We can only speculate that he may be a Force vampire who feeds off Force sensitives. Can you imagine a well-fed, blood red Snoke in his ultimate form? Luke will surely have his work cut out for him!

Kennedy is on a roll. Around this same time last month, she had Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge cast as the first female droid in the forthcoming Han Solo solo spinoff film.
The news sent shockwaves throughout fandom as many Star Wars scholars claim there had already been plenty of feminine droids in the galaxy far, far away. Still other armchair experts believe all droid-dom is gender-fluid, and that the entire move reeked of Disney pushing a political agenda onto consumers. Whatever the case may be, Kennedy is certainly keeping her promise to broaden the appeal of Star Wars.
Upon taking the head role at Lucasfilm, Kennedy has pushed to have Star Wars properties better represent the world we live in today, which includes droids of both sexes, women, men and women of various ethnicities, and women who menstruate.
We imagine the upcoming spinoffs such as Obi-Wan Kenobi will also include some pioneering casting and/or CG creations. To that end we say, “keep up the great work, Kat!”
