Slash Appears on Rey’s Arm in The Last Jedi

When Rian Johnson described The Last Jedi as weird, he wasn’t lying. Not only are we getting Porgs, bizarre words in the opening crawl, and all-new rules regarding the force, but we’ve just caught wind that Episode VIII’s cameo game cranks it up to 11.

Our San Diego Comic Con sources have revealed that Rey sports a tattoo of the legendary guitar player Slash. The tophat-wearing rock icon, most famous for being part of Guns N’ Roses, can be seen on Rey’s right bicep all the way up to her shoulder in a toy spotted at the annual mega convention.

We can only begin to imagine what the significance of the black-and-white portrait could be.

  • Is Slash playing a shady character in line with Benicio del Toro’s mysterious DJ?
  • Is Slash Rey’s real dad, as her lineage has been hotly contested and getting your parents or children tatted on your arm is a common sight.
  • Is Rey just a fan girl of the biggest band in the galaxy? Does Slash and G N’ R perform at the casino on Canto Bight?
  • Is Axl Rose tattooed on Rey’s left arm, giving her balance of the sonic force?

Slash’s appearance on Rey’s arm isn’t the first time Guns N’ Roses have been linked to Disney’s new Star Wars movies. Just a few years ago, a mysterious trailer featuring crowd shots to the sounds of classic Guns N’ Roses songs played during showings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Who knows what this second cameo could mean for the band, and the fate of our heroes in The Last Jedi!?

In case you’re wondering, and we know you are, Slash himself does not have a Rey tattoo in real life. However, Lebron James does indeed have one of John Boyega as Finn. As always, keep it locked to FakingStarWars.net for all the Star Wars news worth faking.
