Boyega To Spoil Episode VIII If Nintendo Doesn’t Reveal NX
Today’s the day for Nintendo fans across the world as the gaming company finally unveils their new console, codenamed NX. Among those fans is Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor, John Boyega. Boyega, who cosplayed as Link this past E3, has gone on record to promise Episode VIII spoilers if Nintendo doesn’t actually reveal any information about the NX. Users on the /r/NintendoNX subreddit have made many ridiculous promises coordinating with when the console will release. These promises ranged from eating a Wii remote to shaving “NX” into their hair on the back of their heads. So it seems Boyega is hopping onto their bandwagon.
“If Nintendo don’t reveal the NX today I don’t know what I’ll do. They so prone to psyching out the fans and pushing dates back so it wouldn’t surprise me if Nintendo didn’t reveal s**t. Hell, if they don’t really say anything about the console, I’ll break my NDA for Star Wars and reveal something about the 8th movie. Hear me Nintendo? Don’t let me down!”
After Boyega made his statement, other Star Wars cast members have made some empty promises as well.
- Domhnall “D-Pad” Gleeson will stream playing Zelda: Skyward Sword with the nunchuck and Wiimote in opposite hands while blindfolded if there isn’t a Star Wars game announced.
- The Phantom Menace‘s Jake Lloyd will eat the charger to his 3DS if the NX isn’t a portable system.
- Daniel Logan of Attack of the Clones will eat a peanut butter, pickle relish burrito if the NX’s gimmick is super lame.
While the FSW crew is anxiously anticipating the NX, we wouldn’t mind some Episode VIII spoilers from Boyega. Heck, we would watch any of these other “promises” too!
